Captain McKenna Pathway

The Captain McKenna Pathway is a return walk starting from Beare Avenue, Netley. It provides views into the airport, and you can plane-watch as you make your way through. The track also follows Brownhill Creek as it drains out to Patawalonga River, where you can spot interesting bird species. It is a part of the Adelaide Airport Trails network (1 of 3). The flat bitumen surface makes it suitable for people with wheelchairs & prams. Additionally, there is a playground at the start. Dogs are allowed on lead. Let us begin by acknowledging the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we travel today, and pay our respects to their Elders past and present.

Getting started
From Beare Avenue (130 metres north of the intersection with Watson Avenue), head towards the paved walking/cycling track marked by a white & red metal wheelchair assist. Head along the paved track as you keep the road to your left. About 125 metres later, veer right at the 3-way intersection and cross the bridge to continue along Captain McKenna Pathway.....

	After another 20 m (from the Captain McKenna Pathway) continue straight, to head along Captain McKenna Pathway. After another 290 m (from the Captain McKenna Pathway) continue straight, to head along Captain McKenna Pathway. After another 185 m (from the Captain McKenna Pathway) continue straight, to head along Captain McKenna Pathway. After another 440 m (from the Captain McKenna Pathway) continue straight, to head along Captain McKenna Pathway.
	After another 1.3 km (at the intersection of Captain McKenna Pathway & Old Tapleys Hill Road Bridge) turn left, to head along Captain McKenna Pathway.
	Continue another 180 m to find the end. Then turn around here and retrace the main route for 4 km to get back to the start.
