Venman Bushland Circuit

Starting from the end of Venman Road, Mount Cotton, this walk takes you on a circuit in the Venman Bushland National Park, crossing Tingalpa and Billabong creeks along the way. Named after Jack Burnett Venman, this bushland consists of eucalypt trees and lowland rainforest, along with other plant species. You may come across some fluffy koalas and greater gliders, along with not-so-fluffy eastern water dragons and lace monitor lizards. This peaceful stroll in nature can end or start with a festive picnic in the scenic picnic tables throughout the track. An insect repellent can come in clutch against the mozzies(Australian slang for mosquitos). Keep in mind that dogs, horses and mountain bikes are not allowed in the park. Let us begin by acknowledging the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we travel today, and pay our respects to their Elders past and present.

Getting started
From the car park at the end of Venman Road, head towards the metal gate with the “National park” sign on it along the dirt path. Pass through the gap next to the gate and join the wide trail as you pass by a green hip-height signpost to your right. Follow the said track for 45 metres, then turn left and join the Scribbly Break Track. Pass by the toilets to your right to continue along Venman Bushland Circuit(clockwise).....

	After another 450 m (at the intersection of Tingalpa Break & Irenes Break) veer right, to head along Tingalpa Break.
	After another 560 m (at the intersection of Venman Road & Tingalpa Break) turn left, to head along Venman Road. After another 35 m (at the intersection of Iris Track & Venman Road) continue straight, to head along Venman Road. After another 90 m cross the stepping stones.
	After another 15 m (at the intersection of Billabong Break & Venman Road) turn left, to head along Jacks Track. After another 860 m (at the intersection of Jacks Track & Boggy Loop) continue straight, to head along Jacks Track.
	After another 35 m (from the Jacks Track) veer right, to head along Jacks Track.
	After another 165 m (at the intersection of Venman Road & Jacks Track) turn left, to head along Venman Road. After another 90 m (from the Venman Road) continue straight, to head along Venman Road. After another 65 m pass the toilet (30 m on your right). This toilet is wheelchair accessible. This toilet is male, female and equipped with a hand-washing basin.
