Starting from Lower Portland Ferry on the left bank of the Hawkesbury River looking downstream. This walk first crosses the mouth of the Colo River on Greens Road and then follows it along a very scenic section of the river at Liverpool Reach. After crossing Greens Creek, the route climbs to the ridges above the river onto Bicentennial Road, with extensive views along the ridges to the north until the Webbs Creek Valley comes into view. The route then descends to the river shoreline ust, passes the Del Rio Resort, and crosses Webbs Creek. A short distance passed and the route arrives at the Webbs Creek Ferry and the river crossing to the town of Wisemans Ferry. After taking the ferry this walk finishes at the end of Old Northern Road at the Convict Road Kiosk. Let us begin by acknowledging the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we travel today, and pay our respects to their Elders past and present.
