Cornelian Bay

Starting from the car park on Domain Highway, Queens Domain, this walk explores the foreshore of Cornelian Bay and takes you to Gas Road via multiple scenic tracks. This is a great little waterside journey where people (and pets) of all ages can find something fun to do. Starting off with your four-legged friend: There's an off-leash area along the track where your doggo can run and swim freely. Children can have some fun and exercise at the playground along the track. For the adults of the family, great views of the bay and a chance to do some cardio await. Also, the Cornelian Bay Cemetery at the end is home to the historic Derwent Chapel. This place is known for being Tasmania's first crematorium site. Let us begin by acknowledging the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we travel today, and pay our respects to their Elders past and present.

Getting started
From the car park on Domain Highway (Tasmanian Botanical Gardens parking), cross the road and turn left. Head along the paved & marked track as you keep the railway and the water to your right. Follow the said track to continue along the Cornelian Bay Track.....

	After another 50 m turn left, to head along Intercity Cycleway. After another 25 m continue straight, to head along Intercity Cycleway.
	After another 200 m (at the intersection of Cornelian Bay Foreshore Track & Intercity Cycleway) turn right, to head along Cornelian Bay Foreshore Track (a footpath). After another 5 m continue straight, to head along Cornelian Bay Foreshore Track. After another 190 m pass the "Wombat 1" (75 m on your left). 	After another 370 m (at the intersection of Boatshed Track & Cornelian Bay Foreshore Track) turn right, to head along Boatshed Track. After another 195 m continue straight, to head along Boatshed Track.
	After another 100 m continue straight, to head along Boatshed Track. After another 105 m continue straight. After another 150 m pass the toilet (10 m on your left). This toilet is wheelchair accessible. Then pass the car park (15 m on your left).

After another 70 m pass the car park (5 m on your left). After another 40 m pass the car park (on your left). After another 650 m come to the viewpoint (on your right). Then pass a seat (on your right). After another 100 m come to "Cornelian Bay Cemetery".
	Continue another 0 m to find at the intersection of Gas Road & Cornelian Bay Point Track at the end.
