Jatbula Trail, S5 and 6: Sandy Camp to Lelyin

Starting from Sandy Camp (Pool), this walk takes you past Sweetwater Pool campsite to Edith Falls Road, falls, pool and campsite via the Jatbula Trail. After a peaceful night under melaleucas, you'll start heading towards Sweetwater Pool. This spacious waterhole is a great stop before continuing the walk toward the final segments of the trail. At Edith Falls you'll have the option to enjoy the multiple falls and rock pools. It's a great way to end your journey if you have the time. You can also stay on the main route and just visit the viewpoint at the edge of the escarpment, which provides you with an excellent view of the waterfall and the scenery. Edith Falls is usually very busy, so book your place beforehand to make sure you get to enjoy this site. Please treat any water you find before using it. Let us begin by acknowledging the Jawoyn people, Traditional Custodians of the land on which we travel today, and pay our respects to their Elders past and present.

	From the Jatbula Trail Start heading along Jatbula Trail (a walking track). Find the toilet at the start. After 10.8 km find the "Sweetwater Pool" (35 m on your left). Sweetwater Pool A magnificent waterhole that is known for its still waters. Enjoy the spectacular views day and night and embrace the tranquility of the place as you cool off in the waters of Edith River. After another 90 m come to the "Sweetwater Camp" (8 m on your right).
	From the Jatbula Trail turn left, to head along Jatbula Trail. After another 830 m cross the ford.
	From the Jatbula Trail continue straight, to head along Jatbula Trail. After another 1.2 km pass the waterfall (40 m on your left).
	From the Jatbula Trail turn right, to head along Jatbula Trail.
	The starting point of an alternate route. An alternate route featuring multiple waterfalls (including Edith Falls), rockpools and viewpoints. Highly recommended. To take the alternate route turn left here. Details below. After another 1.6 km (at the intersection of Leliyn Trail & Jatbula Trail) veer right, to head along Leliyn Trail. After another 300 m pass a seat (on your left).
	After another 15 m (from the Leliyn Trail) continue straight, to head along Leliyn Trail. After another 195 m pass a seat (on your right). After another 150 m pass the sign (8 m on your left). About 35 m past the end is a car park.
	The alternate route finishes here. Continue straight to rejoin the main route at the 15.1 km waypoint. Details below. Continue another 0 m to find at the intersection of Edith Falls Road & Leliyn Trail at the end.

	At the intersection of Leliyn Trail & Jatbula Trail Start heading along Leliyn Trail (a walking track). After 110 m come to the viewpoint (about 50 m ahead). Then pass a seat (about 55 m ahead).
	From the Leliyn Trail turn left, to head along Leliyn Trail. After another 65 m pass the emergency call device (on your right). After another 25 m pass a seat (5 m on your right). After another 105 m pass the waterfall (45 m on your left). After another 30 m cross the ford (about 45 m long) Then find the "Edith Falls Upper Pool" (15 m on your left). Edith Falls Upper Pool
	After another 35 m (at the intersection of Leliyn Trail & Edith River) continue straight, to head along Leliyn Trail. After another 25 m pass the waterfall (40 m on your left). After another 20 m pass the waterfall (25 m on your right). After another 40 m find the "Edith Falls Middle Pool" (about 80 m ahead). Edith Falls Middle Pool After another 345 m pass a seat (about 35 m ahead). Then come to the "Bemang Lookout" (about 40 m ahead).
	From the Leliyn Trail turn left, to head along Leliyn Trail. After another 610 m pass a seat (4 m on your left). After another 335 m cross the bridge (about 9 m long) After another 50 m come to the viewpoint (25 m on your right).
	Continue straight. After another 40 m find the "Edith Falls Plunge Pool" (20 m on your right). Edith Falls Plunge Pool After another 85 m pass the sign (60 m on your left). After another 15 m pass the BBQ (45 m on your left). After another 55 m pass the "Telstra" (35 m on your left). Then pass the toilet (20 m on your left). After another 20 m pass the "Jawoyn Leliyn Kiosk" (about 25 m ahead). Mo-Su 09:00-17:00
	Turn right.
	After another 20 m (from the Edith Falls Road) veer right, to head along Edith Falls Road (a vehicle track). After another 90 m pass the car park (25 m on your left). About 20 m past the end is a sign.
	Continue another 0 m to find at the intersection of Edith Falls Road & Leliyn Trail at the end. At the end of this alternate route, rejoin the main route.
