Getting started
From the end of Telopea Road, head down the wooden steps (Telopea Road Steps) located next to a sign which marks the start of the track. Shortly after, cross the creek using the wooden bridge to continue along Dandenong Ranges Tourist Track (Emerald to Sassafras).....

	After 30 m cross the ford. Continue straight.
	After another 195 m cross the ford. Continue straight.

	After another 860 m (at the intersection of Avard Road & Caroline Crescent) turn left, to head along Avard Road (a residential road). After another 130 m cross the bridge (about 15 m long) After another 110 m pass the picnic table (25 m on your right). After another 115 m (at the intersection of Avard Road & Ridge Road) continue straight, to head along Avard Road.
	After another 130 m cross the ford. Continue straight.
	After another 380 m turn left, to head along Kallista - Emerald Road. After another 7 m cross the bridge (about 15 m long) After another 15 m turn sharp right. After another 510 m cross the bridge (about 8 m long) After another 750 m cross the bridge (about 6 m long)
	After another 740 m veer left, to head along Emerald Monbulk Road. After another 25 m (at the intersection of Old Emerald Road & Emerald Monbulk Road) turn right, to head along Old Emerald Road (a vehicle track). After another 30 m turn left. After another 40 m pass the picnic table (15 m on your right). After another 670 m continue straight. After another 35 m pass the car park (10 m on your left). After another 20 m continue straight. 	After another 315 m turn right, to head along Rankins Road. After another 6 m cross the bridge (about 6 m long) After another 6 m turn left. After another 910 m continue straight. After another 520 m cross the bridge (about 7 m long) After another 430 m continue straight.

	After another 800 m turn right. After another 15 m (at the intersection of Priors Road & Moxhams Road) continue straight, to head along Priors Road (a residential road). After another 10 m continue straight.
	After another 95 m veer right. After another 730 m cross the bridge (about 10 m long)
	After another 95 m turn right, to head along Baynes Park Road. After another 15 m turn left. After another 135 m pass the "Baynes Park" (25 m on your left). After another 65 m continue straight.
	After another 45 m turn sharp right. After another 95 m continue straight. After another 35 m continue straight. After another 180 m continue straight.
	After another 345 m turn left, to head along Monbulk Road. After another 15 m (at the intersection of Dandenong Ranges Tourist Track & Monbulk Road) turn right, to head along Dandenong Ranges Tourist Track (a walking track).
	After another 175 m cross the ford. Continue straight, to head along Dandenong Ranges Tourist Track. After another 40 m continue straight, to head along Dandenong Ranges Tourist Track. After another 150 m continue straight, to head along Dandenong Ranges Tourist Track.
	After another 55 m turn right, to head along Dandenong Ranges Tourist Track.
	After another 460 m continue straight. After another 10 m cross the bridge (about 8 m long) After another 55 m cross the bridge (about 10 m long) After another 5 m pass the car park (10 m on your left).
	After another 7 m veer left, to head along Dandenong Ranges Tourist Track.
	After another 1.3 km continue straight, to head along Dandenong Ranges Tourist Track. After another 100 m cross the bridge (about 6 m long) After another 235 m (at the intersection of Perrins Creek Road & Dandenong Ranges Tourist Track) continue straight, to head along Perrins Creek Road (a highway\|tertiary).
	After another 50 m (at the intersection of Dandenong Ranges Tourist Track & Perrins Creek Road) continue straight, to head along Dandenong Ranges Tourist Track (a walking track).
	After another 60 m veer left, to head along Dandenong Ranges Tourist Track. After another 200 m (at the intersection of Sassafras Creek Road & Dandenong Ranges Tourist Track) continue straight, to head along Sassafras Creek Road (a highway\|tertiary). Then cross the bridge (about 3 m long)
	After another 10 m (at the intersection of Perrins Creek Road & Sassafras Creek Road) turn sharp left, to head along Perrins Creek Road.
	After another 40 m (at the intersection of Boucher Lane & Perrins Creek Road) continue straight, to head along Boucher Lane (a vehicle track). After another 45 m cross the bridge (about 7 m long)
	After another 65 m (at the intersection of Dandenong Ranges Tourist Track & Boucher Lane) continue straight, to head along Dandenong Ranges Tourist Track (a walking track). After another 95 m cross the bridge (about 8 m long)
	After another 730 m (at the intersection of Dandenong Ranges Tourist Track & Sassafras Creek Road) continue straight, to head along Dandenong Ranges Tourist Track. After another 15 m (at the intersection of Dandenong Ranges Tourist Track & Nobles Lane) continue straight, to head along Dandenong Ranges Tourist Track.
	The starting point of an optional sidetrip. An optional side trip taking you to Alfred Nicholas Memorial Gardens Lake & Boat House. Dog-friendly. To start this optional side trip continue straight here. On returning from this side trip error >360 when you get back to this intersection. Details below. After another 1 m continue straight, to head along Dandenong Ranges Tourist Track.
	After another 65 m cross the ford. Continue straight, to head along Dandenong Ranges Tourist Track.
	After another 1.1 km (at the intersection of Dandenong Ranges Tourist Track & The Crescent) continue straight, to head along Dandenong Ranges Tourist Track.
	After another 300 m continue straight, to head along Dandenong Ranges Tourist Track. After another 70 m continue straight, to head along Dandenong Ranges Tourist Track. After another 40 m pass the toilet (20 m on your right). About 70 m past the end is "Miss Marple's Tearoom". About 20 m past the end is "Sassafras Village Green".
	Continue another 0 m to find at the intersection of Mount Dandenong Tourist Road & Dandenong Ranges Tourist Track at the end.

An optional side trip taking you to Alfred Nicholas Memorial Gardens Lake & Boat House. Dog-friendly.
