	At the intersection of Sir Bertram Stevens Drive & Lady Carrington Drive Start heading along Lady Carrington Drive (a service road). There is a car park (about 100 m back from the start). There is a toilet (about 30 m back from the start). After 50 m head through/around the gate. sunrise-sunset Then find the "Audley Picnic area" (25 m on your right). Audley Picnic area Audley Picnic area is a large grassy area with beautiful views across the Hacking River. There are 2 picnic tables with 2 sheltered double gas BBQs. A few benches are scattered around the area. Closer to the 'Audley Dancehall' building there's a signposted toilet block (just up the short staircase). Then find the "Audley" (on your left). Audley Audley in the Royal National Park is where you will find the visitor information center, toilets, kiosk, boat shed (row boat hire), weir, water, BBQ's and plenty of picnic facilities. Take a step back in time and explore some of the preserved building like the old dance hall, enjoy wandering the grounds or grab an ice cream. After 15 m pass the "Weir Cafe" (20 m on your right). After 150 m find the "Commonwealth Pavilion" (15 m on your right). Commonwealth Pavilion The large sheltered 'Commonwealth Pavilion' picnic area offers 19 picnic tables and 4 single gas bbqs (high 90cm, grill area 43cm wide). From the picnic area there are beautiful views over the Hacking River and the picnic area. This is a great spot to see Cockatoos. There is a cafe, information center, toilets and other facilities nearby. After another 45 m pass the water tap (20 m on your right). After another 10 m pass the car park (5 m on your right). Then find the "Parking Accessible" (10 m on your right). Parking Accessible A smaller car park with 3 mobility parking bay areas (6.1m long, 3.1m wide)
	At the intersection of Engadine Track & Lady Carrington Drive turn right, to head along Engadine Track. Then cross the bridge (about 55 m long)
	After another 40 m veer right. After another 115 m find the "Currawong Flats" (15 m on your right). Currawong Flats Currawong Flats is a large picnic area on the banks of the Hacking River in the Royal National Park. Carrawong Flats is on the western bank for the the Hacking River, Opposite Audley and just south of the junction with Kangaroo Creek. The picnic area can be accessed by car or by foot by a wooden bridge, to Audley. The picnic area has a large flat and open grassy area with some shade from trees. There is a car park, toilets, garbage facilities, fire pit BBQ's, and picnic tables. Swimming and use of boats is not permitted in this section of the river.
	After another 120 m veer right, to head along Robertsons Roundabout.
	After another 335 m (at the intersection of Engadine Track & Robertsons Roundabout) turn left, to head along Robertsons Roundabout. After another 285 m pass the "Robertson Knoll" (15 m on your right).
	After another 170 m (at the intersection of Uloola Track & Robertsons Roundabout) turn left, to head along Robertsons Roundabout.
	After another 640 m veer right, to head along Robertsons Roundabout.
	After another 235 m veer left, to head along Engadine Track.
	After another 90 m (at the intersection of Lady Carrington Drive & Engadine Track) turn left, to head along Lady Carrington Drive.
	After another 155 m come to the end.

Some areas in Royal National Park are closed to the public between sunset and sunrise from Monday to Thursday (excluding school holidays) from Monday 7 July 2025 to Friday 19 December 2025 to enable a deer control operation to be carried out.

The closed areas include:
- All picnic areas in the Audley Precinct
- Asset protection zones adjacent to Maianbar, Bundeena and East Heathcote.
- Wattamolla and Garie picnic areas
- North Era campground and coastal areas between Garie Beach and Figure 8 Pools
- Garrawarra Farm
- Lady Carrington Drive
- Bonnie Vale campground and Bonnie Vale picnic area.
These closures will be signposted at the entry points to the closed areas. If you have a campground booking you can still access campgrounds during these times.

The Coast track - partial closure

Walking the full length of The Coast track from Otford to Bundeena or Bundeena to Otford is not currently possible due to several track closures along its length. These closures are necessary due to erosion, rockfall risk and ongoing track upgrade works.

Please note the following closures:
- The Garie to Little Garie section of The Coast track is closed due to hazardous rockfalls and erosion
- North Era campground is closed until further notice
- Garie Road, Garie Beach and the Garie precinct is closed until further notice due to damage and subsidence of the road surface. Walkers approaching from the north (e.g. from Wattamolla or Bundeena) should exit the track via Curra Moors track. Walkers approaching from the south can Exit to Garawarra Farm via the Burgh Ridge Track.
Bushwalker access is available for the following sections of The Coast track:
- South bound access - Bundeena to Curra Moors track via Wattamolla and return only. No access to Garie Beach.
- North bound access - Otford to Thelma Ridge Via Burning Palms and Era and return only. No access to Garie Beach.

Helicopter operations - Waterfall Oval

Waterfall Oval and Helipad will be used for periodic helicopter operations on weekends and some weekdays between 26 June and Thursday 24 July 2025 to support a Sydney Trains rail upgrade program. The oval will be used to store equipment and materials and the helipad will be used for slung loads to be flown into the rail corridor south of Waterfall Township.

Park visitors seeking to use the Uloola Falls fire trail or walking track from Waterfall train station may be asked by crews working on the project to wait for short periods whille slung loads are flown across the tracks. Delays will be minimal.

Marley walking track partial closure
Bundeena Drive to Marley walk

The section of Marley walking track between the carpark and fire trail is closed for repairs until Monday 4 August 2025. The carpark will also be closed for repairs during this time.

Big Marley and Little Marley fire trails remain open.

Garie Road closed due to damage

Garie Road is closed until further notice to allow for extensive repairs the road surface. Work is being undertaken by Transport for New South Wales.

A reopening date is not currently known.

Road maintenance works on Garawarra Farm Road

Road maintenance works will be taking place on Garawarra Farm Road on Monday 21 July and Friday 25 July 2025. Traffic management will be in place to allow for vehicle access to allow for vehicle access to Garawarra Farm carpark. For your safety please follow all safety and directional signage, as well as directions from staff when visiting Garawarra Farm Carpark.
