	Start. Find the toilet at the start.
	Continue straight. After another 10 m pass the picnic table (10 m on your left). After another 60 m cross the bridge After another 270 m continue straight.
	After another 1.6 km turn left, to head along Cedar Brush Walk. After another 570 m find the "Wollombi Brook Pool" (35 m on your left). Wollombi Brook Pool The Wollombi Brook pool is located where two creeks come together and is a deep pool surrounded by moist cool forest. On a hot day, this spot would make an ideal resting spot or place for a cooling swim.
	After another 1.5 km (at the intersection of Wild Boar Road & Piglet Point Road) turn left, to head along Wild Boar Road.
	After another 170 m (at the intersection of Wild Boar Road & Pork Point Road) veer right, to head along Wild Boar Road.
	After another 470 m (at the intersection of Wild Boar Road & Bacon Point Road) veer right, to head along Wild Boar Road. After another 780 m continue straight, to head along Wild Boar Road.
	After another 340 m (at the intersection of Kangaroo Point Road & Wild Boar Road) continue straight, to head along Kangaroo Point Road. After another 430 m cross the ford.
	After another 1.6 km (at the intersection of Murrays Forest Road & Kangaroo Point Road) turn right, to head along Murrays Forest Road (a vehicle track).
	After another 20 m continue straight, to head along Murrays Forest Road. After another 20 m find the "Mt Warrawolong Campsite" (45 m on your left). Mt Warrawolong Campsite This relatively small campsite is a flat open clearing a stones throw away from the dirt road with a small fire pit and enough room to comfortably pitch three tents. There is no water available at this campsite so you will need to make sure you have enough to last until you get to the next water source.
	After another 95 m (at the intersection of The Bar Trail & Murrays Forest Road) continue straight, to head along The Bar Trail (a vehicle track).
	After another 80 m veer right. After another 730 m veer right, to head along The Bar Trail. After another 95 m continue straight, to head along The Bar Trail.
	After another 800 m (at the intersection of Warrawolong Road & The Bar Trail) turn sharp left, to head along Warrawolong Road.
	The starting point of an optional sidetrip. Side trip to Mt Warrawolong. At 642m above sea level, it is the highest point of the Great North Walk. To start this optional side trip turn left here. On returning from this side trip turn around when you get back to this intersection. Details below. After another 400 m (at the intersection of Turner's Road & Warrawolong Road) turn right, to head along Turner's Road.
	After another 110 m (at the intersection of Turner's Road & Spinebill Point Road) veer left, to head along Turner's Road.
	After another 710 m continue straight. After another 380 m come to the viewpoint (20 m on your right). After another 1 km find the "Watagan Creek Campsite" (30 m on your left). Watagan Creek Campsite This is a Great North Walk signposted campsite, with plenty of room for a few tents but providing minimal facilities ie. no water, toilets or tables. There is, however, a bench and room for a fire. After another 95 m come to the "Mt Warrawolong Campsite" (50 m on your left).
	Turn right. After another 15 m pass the "Great North Walk". After another 340 m pass the "Great North Walk". Then pass the "Great North Walk". Then pass the "Great North Walk" (on your left). After another 20 m pass the "Great North Walk" (on your right). After another 20 m pass the "Great North Walk". After another 50 m pass the "Great North Walk". After another 1 km pass the "Great North Walk". After another 840 m pass the "Great North Walk" (on your right).
	Continue straight.
	After another 110 m continue straight. After another 690 m (at the intersection of Langans Road & Hearns Road) continue straight, to head along Langans Road. After another 550 m pass the "Great North Walk" (on your left). Then pass a seat (7 m on your left). After another 70 m find the "Great North Walk Campsite" (10 m on your left). Great North Walk Campsite This neat little signposted campsite consists of a brick fireplace with a couple of basic wooden seats and some room for a few tents. There is no water available at this campsite. After another 310 m find the "Flat Rock Lookout" (7 m on your right). Flat Rock Lookout Flat Rock Lookout is a natural rock platform that offers magnificent views across the Congewai Valley to the east and north. There are, however, no fences or safety railings at the lookout, so walkers will need to exercise extra caution. After another 470 m (at the intersection of Langans Road & Krafts Road) continue straight, to head along Langans Road.
	After another 410 m (at the intersection of Cabans Road & Langans Road) turn right, to head along Cabans Road.
	After another 2.5 km continue straight, to head along Cabans Road. After another 550 m (at the intersection of Cabans Road & Cedar Ridge Road) veer right, to head along Cabans Road.
	After another 50 m (at the intersection of Watagan Track & Cabans Road) continue straight, to head along Watagan Track (a vehicle track).
	After another 90 m continue straight.
	After another 3 km continue straight.
	The starting point of an optional sidetrip. Side trip to Lonely Goat Olives - a tranquil country cottage in Congewai Valley, about 900m from the GNW. The cottage has two separate bedrooms, both with en-suites. The bedrooms open on to a veranda with views over the gorgeous valley and the Tuscan style olive groves. The cottage has an outdoor BBQ kitchen and both rooms have a satellite TV, Wi-Fi Internet access, bar fridge, toaster and kettle. 	After another 930 m (at the intersection of Congewai Road & Eglinford Lane) turn right, to head along Congewai Road (a highway\|tertiary). After another 4.3 km cross the bridge (about 10 m long) After another 65 m continue straight, to head along Congewai Road. After another 135 m continue straight, to head along Congewai Road. After another 220 m continue straight, to head along Congewai Road. After another 420 m come to "Great North Walk".
	The end.

	After another 320 m veer left, to head along Warrawolong Road. After another 90 m head through/around the gate. After another 1.6 km find the "Mount Warrawolong" (25 m on your right). Mount Warrawolong At 642m above sea level, Mount Warrawolong is the highest point along the Great North Walk. After another 20 m come to a viewpoint.
	The end. Turn around and retrace your steps back the 2.1 km to the main route.
