Starting from the car park near Merredin Railway Dam, Merredin, this walk takes you to Merredin Peak and back. The view from the peak offers visitors panoramic views of the surrounding rural area. The peak is the highest in the area, and it is a granite outcrop. The walk is also historically significant as the walled granite channels fed into Railway Dam, which was the town's water resource. Flower enthusiasts can look out for lots of Donkey Orchids. The path can be undertaken with mountain and trail bikes. There are short steep sections and rough surfaces, and the area can get extremely hot during summer. Some bushwalking experience is advised.
