This news item is a good reminder for those of us in the balmy north contemplating winter walking in Tasmania (I'll be there next month).

Even walking the dogs is hazardous. Black ice on the footpath near home today!

I had ice on my kitchen windows this morning...on the inside

toasty in the rest of the house though

Just doing some business in Armidale and 2 nights ago it was -7 followed by -5. It's only 7 degrees now.
Just had a look at the Cradle cams on parks site and it looks like some good snow down in Tassie.

Had a low of 1 degree at King Island this morning, it got to 14 this afternoon,
