I didn't have "welcome message" in my directory that I could find.
I added mine via "startup txt."

I have set the display time to 25 seconds so that the display lingers until you manually select the unit to move past it. I did this in the hope that by displaying it longer someone might notice it on startup seeing the backlight remains off during boot.
