Sorry for the thread dig.
We're planning on heading up to Lady Lake hut to overnight with our 11 month old little fella next month. Our itinerary has had to be reshuffled a bit because we neglected to check the Maria Island ferry times, so we're planning on coming down from the hut and driving to Triabunna for the 3pm ferry to Maria. Does that sound feasible? From what I've read, I reckon it'll be OK.
Also, should we take a litre of kero up with us for the heater/stove? The stove sounds great, but the latest thing I've read on it is from 2011, so it'd be good to know if it's still in action. Any other info about the hut/track would be appreciated too.
My wife's a bit anxious about taking our boy up there. Not because of the remoteness and all that; she's more worried that other campers might show up and be disappointed to find a baby there. I'm of the view that it's all part of hut camping. What do you reckon?
